How working together works
Good work starts with clear expectations. Here’s the practical shape of an empatheticbot website subscription before we get into paperwork.
One subscription, with a real commitment
The subscription is $200 a month with no setup fee. The first year is a $2,400 commitment, billed as twelve monthly payments. After that, it continues month-to-month and either of us can end it with 30 days’ notice. Basic managed hosting and one standard domain are included. I’ll show you any other paid service before adding it, and I don’t mark up third-party costs.
We plan the work together
We begin with a short project brief covering your goals, pages, features, and brand. You can send as many requests as you like; I normally work on one active request at a time and prioritize the queue with you. Small updates are often finished within a few business days. Larger ideas are broken into sensible steps and planned into the work.
The whole website is cared for
Design, development, hosting, routine updates, maintenance, security patches, performance and accessibility tuning, search-engine basics, analytics, and modest new pages or features are all part of the subscription. It’s designed for small-business marketing and service websites. A complex app, full online store, separate brand, or major production project may need its own scope and price—and I’ll say so before doing that work.
You bring the business; I bring the web care
You provide timely content, access, feedback, and one person who can make decisions. You also make sure you have permission to use what you give me and remain responsible for the legal requirements of your business. I protect nonpublic information and credentials with reasonable care, and I expect us both to communicate early when something is unclear or changing.
Your website stays yours
You own your custom website, content, domain, and client-controlled accounts. You’ll have ongoing access to the code repository while we work together. If the subscription ends, I’ll help transfer the repository, domain, source files, assets, and deployment notes, and include reasonable transition help. You choose and pay for replacement hosting. Reusable tools and third-party materials keep their existing ownership and licenses.
